Head - on f.-m. Mr.. Professor Vitaly Danilovich Rusov

Department of Theoretical and Experimental Nuclear Physics was founded in 1996.

Today the department makes training in the specialty "Physics of nuclei and elementary particles."

Specialization "Nuclear and Radiation Safety."

Destination 0701 - physics.

The Department prepares:

Bachelors (code 6.0701);

Professional (code 7.070103);

Master's (code 8. 070 103).

Study: day (budget, contract).

Duration of training:

Bachelor - 4 years

Professional - 5 years

Masters - 5.5 years.

Future graduates are not only fundamental knowledge of mathematics, theoretical physics, nuclear physics and elementary particle physics, applied and experimental nuclear physics.

Taking into account today's requirements in the training program includes a significant amount of discipline of computer science (expert systems, database management systems, national and international information resources, computer networks, elements of information security in computer systems).

Starting with 2-3 courses, students are assigned to the scientific work of the department under the program of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and speak at national and international conferences of young scientists, the best work of the Presidium marked NAS.

Department of Theoretical and Experimental Nuclear Physics, is composed of 3 doctors of sciences, professors, 5 PhD, assistant professors and 2 senior teachers. Employees of the department actively engaged in scientific work, are actively involved in numerous international conferences and symposia.

Invited to lecture at leading teachers and practitioners from other universities and research institutions.

Teaching staff has prepared a number of scientific and methodological developments and training manuals have been published 3 research monographs.

Employees of the department and graduate students involved in research in the Antarctic expedition of the Ukrainian Antarctic station "Akademik Vernadsky".

Department is actively working on post-graduate and doctoral studies, a specialized scientific council for doctoral and master's degrees in specialties 01.04.16 - nuclear physics, elementary particle and high energy (physical and mathematical sciences) and 01.04.01 - physics of devices, components and systems ( physico-mathematical sciences).

For 10 years the department in a specialized scientific council defended 18 Ph.D. and 6 doctoral dissertations.

The main scientific directions of the department:

high-energy physics and elementary particles;

quantum chromodynamics;

basic and applied research in the field of neutrino physics;

nonlinear theory of low doses of ionizing radiation;

nuclear and radiation safety;

astrophysical problems of global climate;

fractal physics of earthquakes.

The department has links with the Research Center of NAS 'Institute for Nuclear Research ", National Research Center of NAS of Ukraine' Kharkov Physico-Technical Institute," Nuclear Center 'Institute of the Stefan "(Ljubljana, Slovenia), Slavutych Laboratory of International Chernobyl Center, ZNPP, YUUAES, RNPP, which have signed agreements on scientific-technical cooperation, on which he carried out the production and pre-diploma practice.

We are waiting for you, original, curious, motivated by our department.
